FAQ

What's the maximum temperature my pool will get to using a 'Revolution Pool Cover'?
The current record (that we know of) is 40ºC.
Hitting 28ºC is very common during the summer months in a European type climate. Note though, that factors like shade, wind exposure, water turnover rate and ambient temperature will all play a part in the overall performance.

PayPal won't accept my card details, what can I do?
For security, PayPal demands the address you provide for shipping be the same as the one registered to your card. When paying, please enter the address the card is registered to, and if you need us to ship to a different address, please let us know in the notes section while checking out, or by an email once you've completed your transaction (see contact us page for email details).

I just can't get on with PayPal, can I pay another way?
Yes, we can accept International Money Transfers, Bank to Bank transfers and cheques. Please contact us via email for more information (see contact us page for email details).

What's the life expectancy of a 'Revolution Pool Cover'?
Normally about 3~5 years. The cover has both chemical and UV protection on both sides, however poor water chemistry will shorten its life. For optimum life, the desired chemistry should be:

Free Chlorine 1.5 to 3.0 ppm, pH 7.2 to 7.6, Total Alkalinity 120 to 200 ppm

These levels are quite normal and you should already be maintaining your pool with this chemistry.

If I buy a cover and its the wrong size, can I return it?
Yes, full details of our returns policy can be found by following the link at the bottom of the page.

How thick is the cover?
The cover is very thin measuring less than 0.2mm. This is one of the reasons the cover works so well at transferring solar heat into your pool water.

Is the 'Revolution Pool Cover' compatible with salt water chlorination systems?
Yes. Keep free chlorine levels between 1.5 and 3 ppm, salt up to 6000ppm

Can the 'Revolution Pool Cover' be used as a safety cover, ie can my kids run about on it?
No. The cover is not designed for a passenger load.

Is the blanket heavy?
No, in fact it's very light. A blanket for a 22' x 11' pool only weighs about 4Kgs which is much less than a conventional pool bubble or foam cover.

When I received my new pool cover is was very wrinkly - is this right?
Because we pack the covers very tight to reduce the postage volume, covers will appear wrinkled, this is normal. Over a short period of time as the sun warms the cover these will iron themselves out.

In the Installation section it talks about water jets, what's the problem here?
The Revolution Pool Cover is different to regular bubble covers in may ways, not least is that it isn't full of air bubbles. This means it is easier for the cover to be flooded by poorly aimed surface level water jets. To ensure the chances of flooding are reduced, you must aim any surface level jets downwards or switch them off. Poorly aimed jets can also push any pool cover about, and can move covers towards the middle or one end of the pool. Just aim them down or switch them off.
